The Intermediate Care Facility for persons with Mental Retardation (ICF/MR) program is long-term care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Tri-County has 8, 6-bed homes in our 3 county area. Three of these homes are located in Montgomery County, 4 homes are located in Liberty County (2 in the Cleveland area and 2 in the Liberty area) and 1 home is in Walker County. Each of these homes allow for our residents to be in the least restrictive environment, while still having 24-hour supervision and staff assistance.

These 8 homes are designed for persons with different levels of need with some homes prepared to serve persons who also have significant physical disabilities. Residents must have a diagnosis of mental retardation or related conditions and must meet the additional criteria for ICF/MR homes.

Tri-County occasionally has openings in these homes and will advertise these openings on the Tri-County home page.
