Independence Place

Due to the success of the apartments in Huntsville and the continued need for housing for persons with mental illness, Tri-County applied for and was awarded a second HUD 811 application for Montgomery County in November of 2007. Independence Place, located in Montgomery, opened in June 2011 and was built by Tri-County Services and Montgomery Supported Housing, Inc. In addition to the rent subsidies provided by HUD, tenants of Independence Place will have access to supportive services from Tri-County staff to maintain a stable living environment.
