The Psychiatric Emergency Treatment Center provides a comprehensive array of services and allows the Center to treat adults with serious mental illnesses who are experiencing a crisis near their home.
 
The facility is located at 706 FM 2854 (also known as Old Montgomery Road) Conroe, Texas 77301.

The Crisis Stabilization Unit is located at the PETC in Conroe.  The unit is a small inpatient psychiatric facility for adults which can admit up to 16 persons at a time. This service is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week at the PETC in Conroe. 

Crisis Calls and Phone Screenings – A Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) will assess each call to determine if a mental health emergency exists.   This service is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. 

Crisis Assessment Services for Adults, Children and Youth – Service includes crisis intervention, assessment, counseling, referral and follow-up.  

Crisis and Access Services are provided initially to determine eligibility and level of need.  

Persons in crisis receive immediate intervention and services.

Crisis services are provided at the Psychiatric Emergency Treatment Center in Conroe 24 hours a day/7 days a week

The Extended Observation Unit is a three bed facility is used to assess whether an individual needs a higher level of care or can be released.  This service is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week at the PETC in Conroe. The service is funded by the 1115 Medicaid Transformation Wavier and 

The crisis service hotline (1-800-659-6994) answers and evaluates calls and will arrange for assessments at safe locations for those needing immediate intervention. This service is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. 

 

 

The Adult Day Program for Persons admitted to the CSU is funded by United Way of Greater Houston
